The last song ends, the house lights come up, and the whole crowd reaches for a phone at once. The ride you priced at 6pm now quotes a number that has nothing to do with what you paid that morning. The structure you backed into at 6:45 has one lane feeding one exit, and the car ahead of you has been sitting so long the driver turned the engine off.
Getting to a concert in Orange County is easy. Getting home is where the night goes sideways.
Here's the short answer. Book the whole night, not the ride in. That's the idea behind our event and concert transportation: one car, one driver, the whole evening at a known hourly rate, with the surge and the parking exit both off the table. If you'd rather drive or call a rideshare, you can still make it work. Plan the last thirty minutes as carefully as the first thirty.
We're MJ Limos. One vehicle, the 2026 Chevy Suburban, six seats, quoted hourly with a minimum for event work. We also know when not to book us. Venue details come from each venue's own site.
Why the drive home is the real problem
The problem is the return leg. Stadium lots empty through a couple of exits, rideshare pickup zones sit a walk from the gates, and app prices climb when everyone opens the app at once. A pre-booked car with a driver already there removes all three.
Three failures stack up at 11:40pm.
The exit. Parking is designed for arrival. At the Hollywood Bowl, every lot is stack-parked and there is no early exit, per the Bowl's own parking page. At Angel Stadium, the lot closes one hour after the event. Neither rule is unreasonable. Both mean your departure time is decided by strangers.
The walk. Rideshare zones get pushed to the edge of the property so idling cars don't block emergency lanes. Honda Center sends pickups to ARTIC, not the arena curb. SoFi's is Kareem Court at Manchester Boulevard. That's a real walk in a crowd, in the dark, in shoes you regret.
The price. App pricing moves with demand. When a show lets out, demand goes vertical for twenty minutes. We've watched quotes on the same trip move by multiples between the inbound and outbound ride. No app is doing anything wrong. It's supply and demand with a countdown clock, and you're holding the phone.
Together, that ends the night with an hour of standing around. That hour is what a car service actually sells.
The three ways to get to a show
| Cost model | Arrival | Exit | Who it suits | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Drive and park | Parking pass plus fuel and tolls | Same traffic, same entrances | You are the traffic. Stacked lots decide when you leave | Locals with a short drive, tailgaters, encore dodgers |
| Rideshare | Per-ride price that moves with demand | Curb or lot drop, sometimes a walk | Walk to the pickup zone, then queue | Two people, no luggage, flexible timing, fine with a walk |
| Chauffeured car | Hourly per vehicle, minimum, quoted per date | Fixed drop point, driver knows the gates | Driver staged nearby, answers a text not a queue | Groups of four to six, anyone who wants an easy last twenty minutes |
Driving isn't the villain. Fifteen minutes from Honda Center, you'll be home before we clear the lot. The math changes when the drive is 45 minutes each way.
What each venue does to you
SoFi Stadium, Inglewood
1001 S. Stadium Drive, Inglewood, CA 90301. Every guest who parks needs a pass; without one you're turned away. Online parking costs less than on-site, and there's no street parking in Inglewood either. If you're being dropped off, the pass rule doesn't apply. The drop point is the catch.
Where it bites: drop-off is the northbound curb lane on Kareem Court, off westbound Pincay Drive. Pickup is Kareem Court at Manchester Boulevard. Two points on one street, both outside the gates, and you'll walk the wrong way once.

Honda Center, Anaheim
2695 East Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92806. General parking in onsite lots and garages, including the Katella and Cerritos garages, is included with event tickets listed on the Honda Center events page. No separate pass.
Where it bites: the arena sits inside the OCVIBE development, and Honda Center warns that parking and traffic patterns are shifting, recommending arrival 60 minutes early. Rideshare pickups run out of ARTIC at 2626 East Katella Avenue. Guests are told to leave through the South or East gates to reach it. That's the walk.

Angel Stadium, Anaheim
2000 Gene Autry Way, Anaheim, CA 92806. Three lot entrances: Douglass Road, State College Boulevard, and Orangewood Avenue. The lot opens two and a half hours before first pitch. For regular-season games, day-of parking is $25 general in person or $27 online, $35 preferred or $37 online. Postseason and concert rates differ.
Where it bites: the ticket isn't valid for in-and-out, and the lot closes an hour after the event. Fine for a ballgame, bad for dinner and back.

Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles
2301 North Highland Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90068. All lots are stack-parked, there's no early exit, parking is extremely limited and may sell out, and lots open three hours before the show. Lot A is $55 stacked. Lot D is $45 for LA Phil-presented events and $55 for lease events. Each pass carries a $2.50 fee.
Where it bites: stacked parking means cars move out in sequence. There's no version where you're on Highland five minutes after the last note. The Bowl may also close Milner and Camrose to through traffic on busier nights, from about two hours before showtime until about an hour after.
Where to be dropped: Lot C, the Purple lot, is the designated rideshare point, via 6655 Odin Street. You can't park in it, which is the point. Your driver should have that address before the night starts, not at 10:45pm.

The hourly minimum, explained
Event work is quoted by the hour, per vehicle, with a minimum. Ours is three to four hours depending on the night, and the quote moves with the date. A Saturday in October isn't a Tuesday in February.
A chauffeured SUV of this size runs about $110 to $150 an hour on the open market before gratuity, so a four-hour night lands somewhere around $440 to $600 plus tip. The full breakdown is here.
A driver's night starts when the car leaves the yard and ends when it's back. On a 3-hour show with 45 minutes each way, that's already four and a half hours. The minimum isn't billing you for nothing. It's the floor under a job that can't be done in 90 minutes.
Where it's a bad deal: you live twelve minutes from the venue, the show is 90 minutes, you're solo. Four hours of chauffeured Suburban for a 12-minute drive is silly money. Take the rideshare and spend the difference on better seats.
For how hourly pricing is built here, read how hourly rates work. One vehicle means one number: the Suburban we run seats six, so the per-person math changes fast at four or more.
When a car is the wrong answer
Two people, one show, no luggage, a venue 20 minutes away. Call the rideshare. Split two ways, the hourly minimum costs more than the surge you're afraid of, and you don't need six seats or a staged driver.
Same answer if you leave during the encore. If you're out before the crowd, the crowd was never your problem. And if the plan is bar, then diner, then somebody's house in a third city, a hired car is billing you to sit in a driveway.
What to tell the driver
A booking is only as good as its details.
- Which gate, which drop point. Not "the stadium." Angel Stadium has three lot entrances, and SoFi assigns every car a named parking zone with its own entry gate. SoFi's drop is Kareem Court, the Bowl's is 6655 Odin Street, Honda Center's is ARTIC. Confirm it's current, because these move.
- The exit plan. Pick a meeting spot before you go in, one you can reach without crossing the main flow of the crowd. Agree on a text time, not a text when you feel like it.
- Who has the tickets. Mobile tickets die with a dead phone. Make sure that person isn't the one who left the battery pack in the car.
- The realistic end time. Shows run long. Give the scheduled end and add the encore. A car staging at 10:15 beats one arriving at 10:50.
- The real headcount. Six adults is the ceiling in the Suburban, not six adults plus a cooler and two folding chairs.
Heading back to Orange County that night? Say so when you book. We route the return around overnight ramp work most weeks of the year.
Frequently Asked Questions
Worth it when four or more people are traveling, when the venue is more than 30 minutes from home, or when parking is stacked or pass-only. Usually not for two people going somewhere close.
Pre-book the return trip instead of hailing a car after the show. If you use an app, walk ten minutes from the venue first: prices track demand nearby and fall fast once you're clear.
The designated pickup is Kareem Court at Manchester Boulevard. Drop-off is different: the northbound curb lane on Kareem Court, via westbound Pincay Drive.
Yes, at the venue's designated point: Lot C, the Purple lot, reached via 6655 Odin Street. Don't plan on pulling into the stacked lots.
Don't plan on it. SoFi states every guest must have a parking pass, and event-day sales are limited when they exist at all. Buy online in advance; on-site prices rise on the day.
More than the map says. Anaheim to Inglewood runs 35 to 45 minutes without traffic, longer on a weekday afternoon, so aim for the gate 60 to 90 minutes before showtime.
If the only thing left to solve is the ride home, call (714) 936-5055 or request a quote. Tell us the venue, date and headcount, and we'll quote the night per vehicle, hourly, with the minimum stated up front. If a car isn't right for your group, we'll say so.
