LAX to Disneyland Shuttle: Every Option, Priced (2026)

Yes. LAX to Disneyland shuttle vans run for about $20 to $45 a person each way, and the drive is 45 to 90 minutes.

Four people on a shared van pay $80 to $180 before tip. A private SUV is $185 to $275. That gap is most of this article. The short verdict: a private car wins at four or more people with bags, on a late landing, or whenever someone needs a car seat.

MJ Limos doesn't run a shared shuttle. We drive private cars, so the shuttle numbers here are an honest look at something we don't sell. If a shuttle is the better buy for your trip, book the shuttle. We'd rather you knew what a limo costs in Orange County than heard a pitch.

Every price below is a typical market range for October 2026, before gratuity unless noted.

Is there a shuttle from LAX to Disneyland?

Yes. Shared shuttle vans run between LAX and the Disneyland Resort area. Expect roughly $20 to $45 per person each way and 45 to 90 minutes of driving. They pick up on the terminal arrivals islands, not at LAX-it.

Disneyland's own airport guide puts LAX about 40 miles from the resort, SNA about 15, and Long Beach about 13, and lists shuttles, buses, taxis, and limousines as the ways in. What it won't tell you is what that per-person price becomes at four people.

What the LAX to Disneyland shuttle actually costs

Per head, nothing beats a shared van. Here's the board for a one-way run to Anaheim.

OptionTypical costWhat you get
Shared shuttle$20–$45 per personCheapest per head, adds hotel stops
UberX$55–$95 per carSurges when the airport is busy
UberXL$100–$150 per carFour to six people with bags
Taxi$100–$140 per carMetered, so traffic moves the price
Private sedan$150–$225One to three passengers, flat rate
Private SUV$185–$275Up to six, room for strollers
Sprinter van$270–$390Up to 14, best value for groups

The sedan and Sprinter rows are market ranges from operators who run them. Every MJ Limos ride is a Suburban, which sits in the SUV row. All of it is a typical market range for October 2026.

A family of four on the shuttle pays $80 to $180 at $20 to $45 a head, then $88 to $200 with a $2 to $5 tip. The same family in a private SUV pays $185 to $275, or $218 to $325 once 18% gratuity lands.

So the shuttle saves $18 to $237. Per-person pricing punishes exactly the group that assumed it was saving money. At the top of the shuttle band you pay $180 for a ride that stops four times and lands 40 minutes after a $185 SUV.

Two adults is the opposite story. $40 to $90 on the shuttle against $150 to $225 for a sedan. For a couple with carry-ons it isn't close, and that's the point: the same van is a bargain at two and a coin flip at four.

Shuttle vs Uber vs private car, side by side

The cost column is the least interesting one. The pickup column is where trips go wrong.

Uber numbers here are calm-hour numbers. A Friday at 5pm pushes an UberXL past the range. The private SUV rate won't budge, because it's agreed before you land.

Where you actually get picked up at LAX

You'll read in a dozen places that a private car is the only option that skips LAX-it. That's wrong.

When LAX opened LAX-it in 2019, LAWA's announcement called it a central pickup point for taxis and ride app services. The release noted that guests using other shuttle buses would keep being picked up inside the terminal area and simply benefit from the lighter traffic.

  • UberX, UberXL, Comfort, standard Lyft, taxis: LAX-it, next to Terminal 1. Walk from Terminals 1 to 3, or take the free shuttle from any terminal. Taxis also stage outside Terminal 7 and on the ground floor of Parking Structure 3.
  • Uber Black, Lyft Lux, limousines, town cars, pre-booked chauffeured cars: the terminal curb.
  • Shared shuttle vans: the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal, exactly as Disneyland's guide describes.

So a shared van skips LAX-it as cleanly as a private car does. The vehicle a family of four usually books, an UberXL, is the one that doesn't.

If you're staying on Harbor or Katella rather than at a Disney hotel, our black car service in Anaheim covers the whole strip.

That's the friction nobody prices. At 10pm with a stroller and six bags, you load it onto a bus for five minutes, then into an UberXL. The fare looks fine. The twenty minutes doesn't.

Our drivers track your flight and meet you at the curb or inside. If you'd rather skip the parking structure at the other end, our Disneyland black car service guide covers the door-to-door version.

How long the transfer really takes

LAX to the Disneyland Resort is about 35 to 40 miles. Clear run, 45 to 50 minutes. Normal afternoon, 60 to 90.

The route is the 105 east to the 5 south, or the 405 when the 105 is stacked. Either way you cross the middle of Los Angeles County, and between 3:30 and 7pm on a weekday that stretch is stop, crawl, stop. Two hours happens.

Then there's the van's own clock. A shared shuttle doesn't leave until its parties are aboard, and it drops in the order dispatch set. The Anaheim strip runs from the Convention Center up Harbor to Katella, and a van with four parties makes three to five stops at five to eight minutes each, plus the detours between them. Call it 25 to 45 minutes added. That strip is also where our airport transfers into Anaheim end up, which is why the drop-off order matters more than the drive.

A van arriving at 1:45 while a private car does it in 55 minutes isn't a bad operator. It's what the price buys. If tonight is the hotel pool, fine. With a 7:30 dinner in Downtown Disney, that gap is what you paid to avoid.

SNA sits 15 miles from the park instead of 40, so our John Wayne airport transfers do this run in about 20 minutes.

When a shared shuttle is the wrong call

You land late. Shared vans run on scheduled departures, not on demand, and most operators cut late-night runs. Miss the last one and a $35 seat becomes a $140 UberXL. Ask what the last departure is before you book a red-eye.

Anyone in your party is under 8. California requires a car seat or booster in the back seat for children under 8, and kids under 2 ride rear-facing unless they weigh 40 pounds or are 40 inches tall. The CHP lays out the rule. Seats are an add-on at best. Some operators rent boosters, and the right size for your kid isn't guaranteed.

Four of you with checked bags. The fare says $180. The four stops say something else, and a flat SUV costs about the same.

A hard time at the other end. A park reservation, a dinner booking, a rental counter closing. Shared vans are reliable the way buses are. They get there. They don't get there at 6:45.

More than six of you. Seats sell individually, so a group gets split across vehicles, and that cuts both ways. Eight people on a shuttle pay $160 to $360. Two Suburbans cost $370 to $550. Above six, the shuttle usually wins on price, and we'll point you at an operator who runs Sprinters rather than pretend we have one.

What to ask before you book any LAX to Disneyland transfer

Same four questions for a shuttle company or a car service.

1. Is that per person or per vehicle? The most common surprise at the curb. Shuttles quote per head. Sedans don't.
2. Where exactly do I meet the driver? "At LAX" is not an answer. Get the terminal, the level, and whether it's a curb, an island, or a lot.
3. What happens if my flight is late? For a shuttle, ask when the last scheduled run leaves. For a car service, ask about the free wait window after landing.
4. Are car seats included, and who fits them? Included, extra, and unavailable are three different answers. Get one in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Shared shuttle vans run from LAX to the Disneyland Resort area for roughly $20 to $45 per person each way. They pick up on the arrivals islands and take 45 to 90 minutes plus hotel stops.

A private SUV runs $185 to $275 before gratuity, which is the band every MJ Limos ride sits in. Sedans run $150 to $225 and Sprinters $270 to $390 in the wider LA market. Those are typical ranges for October 2026. It's a flat rate, so traffic doesn't move the price.

About 45 to 50 minutes on a clear run, 60 to 90 normally. A weekday afternoon between 3:30 and 7pm can pass two hours.

For one or two people, usually. An UberX is $55 to $95 and a shuttle is $20 to $45 a head. For four with bags, an UberXL at $100 to $150 undercuts a private SUV, but leaves from LAX-it with no car seats.

Some do, usually as a paid add-on, and the right size isn't guaranteed. California requires a seat or booster for children under 8, so confirm in writing or bring your own.

With a shuttle, you may miss the last scheduled departure and need a ride on demand. With a chauffeured car, the driver tracks the flight and adjusts, and wait time is usually built in.

If you're on the private side of the four-person line, we'll quote it properly: date, flight number, passenger count, luggage, gratuity and fees in the number, car seats fitted before you land.

Request a quote or call (714) 936-5055. Our Disneyland black car service covers the hotel strip and the park gates. If a shared shuttle is genuinely the smarter buy, we'll say so.
